This place is in a great location. It hasn't been well maintained. The furniture is very worn, dirty and old. I was almost afraid to sit on it, but where else could I sit for 4 days? The ice maker didn't work, the bedding is old and awful. This place needs a serious makeover and it would be lovely. The owner is not investing enough back in this property ?

Great location and would be great unit with some normal upkeep, better cleaning and maintenance. Bedding was nasty. All comforters were stained and dirty. Sheets didn’t fit main bed and slipped off entire time. The couches were very dirty and didn’t sit on them without a sheet. The floors were dirty from the start. The balcony was filthy and all of the furniture was broken on it except one chair. The bunk bed is hazardous and not able to be slept in safely. I saw other reviews that said this but thought it would be repaired and cleaned before booking more groups. It wasn’t what I’ve grown accustomed to when spending over $3000 for the week. Faucet drips in main bathroom and light flickers the whole time.

Within the first hour of arriving, I had to contact LSI due to broken unusable bunk beds, really dirty furniture (we covered them in sheets just to sit on them), dirty air vents, broken items throughout the whole condo, all patio furniture broken except 1 chair, what appeared to be purple needle caps in the bowl on the table. The response back was that they were trying to contact the owner. Then the whole week went by with no other response than that. We did let them know the coffee maker was broken and someone replaced that. Then on the last day at 8:30AM, we went to take luggage to the car, came back to the room and we were already locked out with our phones still in the room!! I requested some sort of refund or compensation for such a disappointing place to stay. I would never recommend anyone pay over $3,000 for a week's stay at a place that was obviously uncared for and in no way could have been the first complaint made. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

All the doors lock aren’t locking (Master bedroom door, all 2 bathrooms, and 2 guest bedroom) very inconvenienced, I can’t even use the bathroom without worrying that one of our friends gonna walk in. I contacted the host, I was told that maintenance been notified, but no one ever show up to fix the problem. The bunk bed is broken, my kids have to sleep on the floor because it’s shaking so bed that scared them. Slide glass doors to the balcony from living room are so tight and very loud that can wake up the whole building. Dryer not working all my clothes are wet! Overall the place need major maintenance!

Room was so dirty!!! Here’s what I got:

Pros:
View was beautiful
Location was nice and close to most attractions

Cons:
Room was dirty
Floor was disgusting
Laundry room- was flooded and continued to flood all week, we kept having to put down towels to sop up water all week. Maintenance never came to look at it.
Bunk room- bunk was broken and extremely wobbly
Guest room- the comforter had DISGUSTING stains on it. We immediately washed it. The mattress was leaning. No dresser in the room.
Kitchen- there was a very fowl smell coming out of the mini bar sink. Smelled like sewage. Dishes were dirty.
Living room-couches were SO dirty!! The throw pillows had black stuff all over them, we ended up putting a sheet over the couches for the week to sit on. Floor needed mopped severely. Our feet were black. The blind was broken and could only open half way. The slider was very very hard to open and close.
Guest bathroom- there was black mold in the tub, black mold growing up the shower curtain. Faucet kept leaking all week.
Master bedroom- no extra sheets for the bed, only 4 pillows on the bed. No dresser in the bedroom.
Master bathroom- black mold in the tub
Balcony- needed sprayed down very bad, there were cigarette ashes all over.

Do not recommend. Not worth the money.

This place was perfect the IMFL race. You can watch the swim from the balcony, you can walk to the transition, and you are on the run route. It was cleaned and such a great view of the ocean. I would recommend this place 100%.

the location of the building is great, it's right on the beach with a great view. they allowed us early check in, which was really nice.
the Calypso is kind of annoying because getting to and from your car is a chore and there are only three elevators and tiny hall ways. there was sand all over the floor when we arrived, the third bedroom which I expected to be small sported a rickety bunk bed that my 5'4" was unable to sit up on without bumping her head, so we ended up getting an air mattress for that room. make sure you bring your own toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap, and trash bags because few or none are provided. there is a closet full of partially broken pool and beach toys, if you can Jenga them out. Overall, I feel it was greatly over priced for the time of year we were there and what all we had to go out and buy to make it habitable, including changing the air filter as it hadn't been serviced in over a year. so the AC works better now, you're welcome.

The location on the beach is great with a wonderful view! You are very close to shops and restaurants, eliminating the need to drive. However, the traffic can be loud at night, especially in the front bedrooms. Unfortunately, the shower curtain in the guest bathroom was extremely moldy. We address the issue the first night and hoped maintenance would replace it, but they did not get to it. Therefore, we ended up taking turns showering in the master bedroom shower. Other than that we really enjoyed our time there. Also, the wait for the elevator was not bad. They were much quicker than the condos we have stayed at before.

The view is AMAZING. We were right on the beach which was great for us. There was enough space for everyone and the decor was stylish and not outdated like typical vacation condos. After office hours, you won’t be able to get in contact with anyone. There’s an emergency after hours number listed but it sends you to a voicemail that tells you to send an email . The condo was supplied with toilet tissue, a roll of paper towels, dish washing liquid, and dish washer detergent, 2 travel size shampoos, conditioners, and bar soaps. We brought our own toiletries just in case we ran out of what was supplied in the condo. If you are visiting during peak travel times, be prepared to either take the steps or wait a while for an elevator. There are chairs, boogie boards, and other beach necessities in the closet of the laundry room Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the closeness to everything.

Property was as described and portrayed. Overall clean, well stocked, and well laid out. Only complaint: Mattresses were on the basic, cheap side and would have made the stay so much better had they been more comfortable. The elevators and parking were efficient and without issue. Property was kept clean and public areas always smelled fresh. There were a couple of maintenance issues I needed to relay to property management upon our departure (I didn’t want to disturb our trip) but I’ve not received a call back. Location was great!

Great space and beautiful views. Clean. Would definitely stay again.
The only thing was the main living room sliding door we couldn't use it as it was off the track.

Conveniently located close to Pier Park with easy beach access. The unit was clean.

First, Calypso is aging as a property...definitely showing it’s age.

Second, the unit was mediocre at best, but livable. It really needs to be updated and if not a full update maybe just touched up a little. Things needing attention: droopy fan blades, missing globes on lights, broken lamps, and the bathroom caulking is a little gross. The cable works great but the wires are crazy and unkept. Balcony door in the living room is a bear to open and nearly impossible to close. Some tubs and sinks drain slowly.

Also, don’t be like me...read the checkin instructions...the office to checkin is not on the property...if you go straight to Calypso you’ll be disappointed by the 20 min drive to checkin...they called to make sure I knew that, but I still screwed up, that’s on me though 😉
